Sponsored Project: Progressive Insurance May 2008
In a team of seven, we redesigned the Progressive Insurance Co. “MyRate” device and system. We developed, from the ground up, primary and secondary packaging, a website, and a simple consumer interface that reflected the goals of the company. We paid special attention to consumer interaction, marketability and environmentally friendly materials and production.
Packaging and System Design
Streamlined and simple, the original shipping materials may be reused and recycled if the customer chooses to upgrade or leave
the program. The device, made of recycled tire rubber, can be returned and recycled as well. Customized installation and product instructions are printed directly on packaging to reduce material. On the website, user data is uploaded daily and displayed on a personalized web page.
